A Life Immersed in Music

Andrew Ager started piano as a young child and composing seriously around age fourteen.  He left school at sixteen to have more time to write music and practice.  He has been a commissioned composer since the mid-80’s and has written for such ensembles and artists as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, The Elmer Iseler Singers, the Hannaford Street Silver Band, Barbara Hannigan, Shannon Mercer, Bronwyn Thies-Thompson, and The Canadian Chamber Orchestra of New York.

 

His music has been performed across North America and Europe, including at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and Casa Trentinalia, Venice.
